How to Prepare for your Treatment:

Scroll down to find detailed tips on preparing for your first treatment.

Colon Hydrotherapy

If this is your first time ever experiencing Colon Hydrotherapy, the most important prep advice we can give is to RELAX. We know it can be a different, strange and even awkward treatment, but the benefits are AMAZING!! As with all of our treatments (and recommendations for daily living) we suggest to keep hydrated before, during and after your session. Room temperature water is always ideal, since cold/icy water tends to slow down your body’s proper digestive actions. If you can avoid red meat, cheese, pasta, coffee and energy drinks at least the 24 hours prior to your treatment that will allow for your body to digest easier and for you to have a more comfortable session. Having a bowel movement prior to your session is not essential, but if you do feel the need to do so it can actually help save time and allow for more to be accomplished. We do provide a gown and body towel for your comfort, but we always suggest some comortable clothing to go home in. You may feel somewhat restful after your first session, so we suggest not making any plans for strenuous activity immediately following your first session, maybe give yourself at least for an hour or two to take it easy. For a day or two before and after a session, we suggest also incorporating herbal teas, fresh juices, organic vegetables and fruits, whole grains, soups and lighter proteins into your diet. Eating and drinking this way will naturally create a healthier intestinal cleansing atmosphere as well as reduce the possibilities of both excess gas build-up and delay in resuming your proper elimination function. Please be advised that if you have had a colonoscopy in the past 90 days or have been diagnosed with any contradictions for colonic irrigation, you should not have a colon hydrotherapy treatment until cleared by your doctor.

INFRARED SAUNA SESSION

First of all, be prepared to sweat! A water bottle is definitely advised to bring along with you and we’re happy to refill it with our reverse osmosis water here at the spa. You may also want to bring some loose clothing and sandals to change into after your sauna session. Although we do not have showers or lockers at our spa, your sauna is in a private room where you can change and store your belongings. Other than that, we provide you with everything you need to enjoy our infrared saunas.

The sauna itself will have two face towels freshly placed before each session (one to sit on and one to place your feet on) and we’ll be sure you have a full body towel to use as well. Again, since you are in a private room for your sauna session, you can choose to undress and just wear a towel in the sauna, wear a bathing suit, or wear workout type clothing. Most choose to just use the towel. We also will provide a washcloth in a bowl of cool, aromatherapy water and a little aromatherapy spray to use during or after your session. Please check with your doctor before doing an infrared sauna session if you have or are going through any of the following: Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Congestive Heart Failure, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumor, Diabetic Neuropathy, Pregnancy, Open Wounds from an operation/surgery, a Pacemaker or Defibrillator, Melasma, Hemophilia, Superficial Metal Implants, or Varicose Veins.

INFRARED BODY WRAP

Similar to the infrared saunas, be ready to get a nice, detoxifying sweat going! In preparation for the Infrared Body Wrap, we encourage guests to especially stay hydrated the night before and day of their wrap. We also suggest that you eat something light 30 mins prior to your appointment. We do require undergarments during the wrap. Bottoms are required and for women, a bra is optional. The undergarments that you wear during the wrap will get wet so please bring a dry pair to go home in.

If you are doing the wrap for weight loss and slimming we encourage you to incorporate a healthy diet and exercise routine with the service in order to maximize your results. Please check with your doctor before doing an infrared sauna session if you have or are going through any of the following: Uncontrolled High Blood Pressure, Lupus, Reaction to any Naturally Derived Minerals, Congestive Heart Failure, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, Central Nervous System Tumor, Diabetic Neuropathy, Pregnancy, Open Wounds from an operation/surgery, a Pacemaker or Defibrillator, Melasma, Hemophilia, Superficial
Metal Implants, or Varicose Veins.

FACIAL

Please avoid home exfoliation 24-48 hours prior to your facial and any use of tretinoin products (i.e. Retin-A or Tretin-X) at least 3-5 days prior to your facial to avoid any irritation. Be sure that you are hydrated before and after your facial to help flush out toxins and impurities. Make sure to let your esthetician know of any food or product allergies, pregnancy or any health conditions that could affect your treatment.

MASSAGE

Be sure you are staying hydrated before and after your massage. During a massage, lactic acid builds up and is released through the muscles so keeping hydrated can help flush out toxins and help avoid feeling light headed. Make sure to let your therapist of product allergies, pregnancy or any health conditions that could affect your treatment. If you’re pregnant, please be aware that massages are not recommended during your first trimester.

WHOLE BODY VIBRATION

For this 10-minute session, we suggest either wearing comfortable athletic type shoes or you may go barefoot. Comfortable clothing/workout attire is also suggested. This amazing machine is not meant to make you burn a ton of calories or build up a great sweat, but it engages a ton of the smaller muscles in our bodies to aid in circulation, muscle/joint pain reduction and even lymphatic drainage to name a few of the great benefits. This is great to do before any of our other treatments or for a quick lunchtime getaway! Please be advised that Whole Body Vibration is not recommended if you have or are currently experiencing any of the following: Pacemaker, Epilepsy, Pregnancy, Deep Vein Thrombosis, Acute Hernia/Discopathy, Severe Diabetes, Tumors, Recently Placed IUDs/Metal Pins/Plates (within the past 12 months), Recent Surgeries (within the past 90 days), Hip/Knee Implants (within the past 12 months), Severe Migraines or Serious Cardiovascular Disease.

IONCLEANSE BODY DETOX

This is a 30-minute session in which your feet will be immersed in a foot bath. An ionic array will be placed into the water with a little bit of salt to help attract the ions out of your body (through the thousands of pores in the bottom of your feet) and into the water. This treatment is very non-invasive and you will not feel shocks or currents running through your body. We definitely suggest staying hydrated before, during and after your session as it is a full body detox. Please be advised that the IonCleanse Body Detox is not recommended if you have or are currently experiencing any of the following: a Pacemaker or another battery operated/electrical implant, are on Heartbeat Regulating Medication, had an Organ Transplant or are on medication for Psychotic Episodes or Seizures.
